It's nice when there's a snug base layer underneath pants so the cold air doesn't go up the leg. And this way you can wear your jeans or nice pants and not have to do snowpants just yet. For legit outdoor play we do tights/leggings + fleece pants + snowsuit. I bike to work and i would also die if didn't wear tights undernearth my work pants in winter. [/quote]
