How would Sibley rank against maybe George Washington Hospital?
Very different. They call it "Club Sib" for a reason. Not a teaching hospital, almost exclusively upper middle class and upper class patients. Lower level NICU and not a trauma center. Some practices that deliver there really want you lying in bed and on the monitors as much as possible, regardless of risk. They have a nursery. Reportedly there's a smoothie cart that makes the rounds of PP. GWU is a crowded, busy urban teaching hospital with patients from all walks of life. Their NICU can handle darn near everything, and should something go wrong with you, the mother, GW is a trauma center. They have midwives on staff, and their OBs support VBACs (within reason). You must use their doctors, no outside practices. Recently re-opened their nursery but still highly encourages rooming in, and PP is small and can be hit-or-miss.
