Team you played probably has two teams at that age group and brought a player from their other team. That player probably had the same number as someone one the current team. They should of taped it but didn’t. I have seen it before in an NCSL game.[/quote]

And the managers of those teams should go to detention.  Its manager 101 to make sure that no one has the same # in the age group within the club, so kids can play on any of the teams in their age group, as needed, and not have to find a jersey![/quote]

Except in most clubs the team managers have no say in the numbers. The club assigns them out, the club also issues double numbers within the age group because Larlo has had that number for so many years. I know one club where the DA team numbers were not deconflicted with the rest of the club, one kid gets dropped from DA to a lower team and guess what happens? 2 kids on the same team with the same jersey number.[/quote]
