Umm no. The PP specifically said that kids learn what areas to avoid and that kids avoid the first floor and lunch room. I have heard other parents with high school kids at Blair mention things like this. It always sounds weird to me that there are areas to "avoid" like a dark alley at night on a walk home or something. [/quote]

And, I responded to that PP that my DC *prefers* the lunch room.  I think the other PP was simply referring to a preference for quiet, and reassuring that that does exist. There is nothing dangerous in the lunch room.  Similarly, as a parent on back to school night I quickly learned that getting between points on two different floors, it's always better to walk hallways on the higher floor.  The first floor is crowded, can't be helped.[/quote]
