We are road warriors. On family vacations, we just want to get to our destination, so a 600 mile or more day is not unusual. Trips to drop off and pickup the college kids are also same day roundtrips totaling over 500 miles. For this reason alone, I'm out. Do you EV people just not drive like we do?
Of course we do. But the Tesla Supercharger network is fantastic. Still takes longer to drive an EV than an ICE for long distances, but it's not that bad. I drove up to Maine this summer, and we had to stop two times for 15 minutes and once for 30 (lunch stop) to get there. They're in the process of rolling out newer chargers that will change the top charging speed from around 600 mph to 1000 as well, so it's gonna get even better.
