We finally just started parking one car on the street all the time so that if we were ever in a crunch, we could take that car and go.

And keep in mind that it's not just pick up and drop off times - there are always going to be after school events.  When they have school-wide after school events, there will be a TON of cars on your street.  And yes, someone will block part of your driveway.  [/quote]
