Oh geez. Yes, you must be beside yourself. I hope your older child is okay. On the off-chance that he is in later into the evening, do you have a trusted person who could come by once your younger child is asleep, so you could go in?
Op here. My child got admitted to the hospital. I got a sitter for tomorrow so I will go to the hospital and DH can go to work.
Thanks for the update. Is anyone staying with your oldest in the hospital during the night? I assume that's allowed, right?
DH is staying at the hospital. Not sure the sleeping situation for DH. Assuming there is a sofa or chair he can sleep on.
If your DC was admitted to Children's, there is usually a sofabed and recliner in each room for the parents to stay on. Unless there is an urgent medical reason your DC would have to be alone, the doctors encourage parents to stay with the kids. OP, sorry you are going through this - my toddler had to be admitted to Children's once for asthma complications and it was very scary for all of us, but they did a great job.
