Loudoun lost 0-5 to Springfield, then beat VSA 4-0, and then lost to BRYC 0-1 in Loudoun Cup last week.  VSA beat Springfield in group play and lost to them in the finals. Folks, at U12 and up, Loudoun Red is no longer their top boys team.  They have pre-ECNL and ECNL teams above it.  Looks like they have two above Loudoun Red at U12.  They have a number of really good players who played up a year at Loudoun DA last year.[/quote]

This topic is U13s, not U12s.  The only age group where there are two teams above red is U12.  Yes, that Loudoun team had one above it, but so did BRYC and VSA.[/quote]

Loudoun is so big, they get a pass on almost anything regardless how competitive they are.  99 reds are gone now, they don't have a standout anymore, but they love promoting how many kids they put into college programs with dominant schools like CNU![/quote]

I think people don’t believe DA is really that special. So one year Loudoun played CCL, next year same team plays DA, now this year ECNL. Different patches is all that changed. Pass the crack pipe I guess [/quote]

Often, boy DA teams are not the first teams for club players. They draw from a much wider area. Perhaps not Loudoun’s former DA (I simply don’t know) but certainly others.  The broader point certainly rings true. The league switches should embarrass everybody the clubs and the leagues.  Half the NOVa CCL is ex NCSL or NPL and a number of ex CCL teams (first teams) are playing NCSL or VPL. And of course a number of top teams at these clubs elect to play in EDP from time to time. I don’t know how many CCL parents I have seen over the past two years eating crow when transitioning to NCSL. Agreed. Pass the pipe. [/quote]
