The waitlist movement for Walls is always substantial, but it went down significantly from last year to this year (meaning less waitlist movement by June) so I do not think there is a trend against students going to Walls.
There is a trend of Wilson IB students not going to Walls.
BC Wilson now has a plurality of white students* (and will be majority white in 2-3 years). Parents no longer feel the need to send them to an application school to be surrounded by a strong peer group. That's why many students IB for Wilson went to SWW. It wasn't for the more rigorous courses (Wilson has more APs and dual enrollment options, those students also didn't pursue the GWU associates degree option). *https://dcschoolreportcard.org/schools/1-0463
