This, though too lazy (hey, I’m a guy) to find a link that supports it. Just an unscientific observation from watching my five kids and their dozens and dozens of friends, and my wife’s experiences as a teacher for a couple of decades. Even the not-so-bright girls get good grades because they are organized, never miss out on the free points like do/didn’t do homework assignments, and have enough performance anxiety that they won’t just give up and accept the B or C. The guys have the homework balled up in the bottom of their bookbags that they completed but forgot to turn in. [/quote]

Also unscientific, but read Pinocchio, in the time when girls were denied education it was expected that boys would need to be flogged into submission, or they'd pawn their school books and spend their days gambling and smoking.  My son actually hasn't given me much trouble, but I relate.[/quote]
