This is completely bizarre. Are you living in 1950? My kid calls their teachers by their first names. The students at her school are the most kind and respectful kids I have ever encountered - even the middle-schoolers.[/quote]

OP of this thread - I would prefer to be called Emily. Not Ms. Doe. NOT Miss Emily
