Um, no, that's not how it works. You don't HAVE to submit standardized test scores, but they WILL be considered if you send them.

"JMU does not require the SAT/ACT to be part of your application file. If you choose not to submit standardized test scores, you will not be penalized in the admissions application, scholarship or Honors College review processes.

[b]85% of the admitted 2018 freshman class submitted a standardized test score[/b]. The mid-50 percepnt of the SAT was between 1160 to 1320 (out of 1600 Evidence Based Reading and Writing plus Mathematics). The mid-50 percent of ACT composite scores range was between 24 to 30."
