When baby was old enough to sit up in highchair, and grasp little bits, we set them up next to the table and we all ate together. This was around 6 months or so for all of my kids. Not 4 months, that seems early. None of them liked the nasty rice or oatmeal cereals. My babies all learned easily to self-feed and enjoyed a good variety of foods. [/quote]
