I encourage the OP to go sit in a Highlander and then a Pilot, the difference in design, fit and finish, and materials selection is quite noticeable for those who care about it. Use the infotainment system, look at the central display cluster, the Highlander is still using a design from the mid-2000s. It still has that little additional cowl just for a digital clock. Really? Seriously?

To be fair, the 2020 Highlander is the update that people are waiting for, and preview pictures show that it has received a lot of updates. My recommendation is to get a 2019 Pilot or wait for the 2020 Highlander before comparing it again.

Also, don't buy a 2-3-year-old used Pilot, you'll save almost no money compared to what type of deal you can get on a new one.
