In those circumstances, I don't correct them because I truly don't care, just want to confirm the appointment and get off the phone as quickly as possible. There is an admin person at school who consistently calls me the wrong name all together - she knows who I am and who my kid is but for whatever reasons cannot keep it in her head that my name is (not my real name) Marianne and not Mary. I do not correct her because it doesn't matter. [/quote]
