also, if you do screenshot something on Snapchat whilst snooping- the person will be notified you screenshot it. Please if you let your child get it, DO NOT screenshot, unless danger situation. And like others have said, if you see it, your child can't unless a story. You have to own that you can't really monitor. Likewise, even the stories, if you view it first, their friend can see that it was viewed and may be wondering why no comment, etc.
?? Why are you adamant that they PLEASE DO NOT screenshot?? Are you 15?
NP here. Screenshot is supposedly bad etiquette because the whole idea of snap chat is that it is meant for the intended recipient at that moment in time and not for others. Screenshot means you have an intention to keep or forward. That said, I tell my teen that I will screenshot teaching moments. After a while interest wanes especially since we don’t give them data and things are no longer in the moment as they would like it. Wifi at home is too boring and life is more interesting outside with activities than sitting at home all day awaiting texts. My teen has uninstalled Snapchat but they do still use insta. (which has an account in my phone) and I check theirs for parallel profiles and fake and real instas
