Older residents from NY/NJ tend to be in Boca or Palm Beach County. In Miami, it’s a huge mix of different cultures and driving rules. A lot of machismo. I was hit once by a lady with no insurance who tried to pay me off on the spot. I couldn’t believe she tried to bribe me ($100) to ignore the huge dent in my car and dangling mirror. My lawyer was unfazed and said it’s very common - offer some money, everyone drops it, your neighbor buffs out the dents. Maryland is delightful by comparison. [/quote]
