This.  I think a good deal of men have a lot of trouble recognizing that other people (both men and women) have thoughts and emotions.  They say or do things that are mean or offensive, and either they totally ignore it, or, if that’s not possible, they get angry at how *the other person* caused *them* pain by being upset.  
I see this at work.  I see it in politics and in the news.  I see it when my husband tells me about some of his problems at work.  I even see it in my teenage boys and their friends.  They just have so much trouble recognizing that everyone has emotions and an inner monologue.  [b]It’s like they think they are the only ones.  [/b]
