NP. I mean this as gently as possible: I think you need to get a grip. Maybe the title of your post is supposed to be facetious or funny but your post comes off as really dramatic and kind of out of touch with reality.... Millions of people give themselves their own injections and it sounds like you’re talking about just one injection you would have to give yourself? Not so sound contrite but try this method: think beyond yourself and being squeamish, and think about the fact you are doing this for your baby. FWIW my husband was deployed for 16 months when I did IVF. I went through three separate stimulation cycles for egg retrievals and then seven embryo transfers, each requiring daily and often multiple injections. I was by myself during the entire process. I hate needles too but did every shot myself. The physicians assistant at my clinic showed me how to administer. I totally stressed out but then it became a piece of cake. And as a total aside I will echo another poster wrote up thread that you should feel very fortunate your insurance covers treatments. We are a dual military family and our insurance covers nothing. No procedures, no medications, no freezing sperm while DH was in the Middle East for almost 1.5 years, nothing. Be grateful you have such incredible insurance coverage AND you’re pregnant. One measly needle prick? You can do that OP! Good luck. And happy first mother’s day!
