We had agreed on the 6 month rule, and he totally disregarded it at the first opportunity. But I do take your point that I can’t make the decision for him. Thanks for the perspective. [/quote]

It's certainly a couple of steps further away from his relationship with you, including your ability to influence him, and I'd guess that's what you're reacting to.  As PP's have noted, you ceded control when you divorced.  That's maybe the hardest thing about being a divorced parent.[/quote]
