DD’s friend group includes gay and straight cisboys and one transboy. I think because their group is quirky anyway and into the arts, sci-fi, comics and the like, being queer has less impact on the boys than if they were all jocks. That said, I don’t doubt bring out is easier for girls. We really don’t see the “gay or trans is the cool thing” attitude that PP claims. It’s more like it just doesn’t really matter that much to them because it’s just one aspect of their multifaceted identities. [/quote]
