This was Damascus.  Not anywhere the same type of money as in LA.

I’d rather they focus on the sexual assaults for now.  It’s a systemic problem and MCPS will never acknowledge the dangers on its own.

The rapists were Black students who had been expelled from their previous HS because of discipline problems and were sent to Damascus HS.  The raped students were mainly White and one Black student, if I recall correctly.

I do not think race had anything to do with this, but this would have become a racist incident if White students would have raped Black students with brooms.

The fact that these terrible humans were shunted to Damascus HS, from their previous HSs is something that needs to be addressed.  For violent or habitual offender students, there needs to be a special HS.  Call it jail, call it Juvi Hall, call it school for troubled students - no one cares. Just get these students away from regular student population. [/quote]
