That is a very unfair statement to say about the minimum wage worker! Maybe some don't take their job serious but their are others who do and have a real love Towards children, and you need to start somewhere to get valid child car experience so that maybe you can apply for another position that pays a little better. You want to talk about these " bottom of the barrel" workers what about the other thousand and thousand of people who abuse their kids, rape, or murder them. What r they consider?
Don't you loving it when parents say they "can't afford" to take care of their own kids? How do you think your poorly paid daycare worker "affords" to take care of your kid? If she can, why can't you?
Can someone please address this excellent question? -DP
The reason why I can’t stay home even though I want to? So in other words, can’t afford to take care of my kids? Or, like many people, my income exceeds the cost of outsourcing childcare? 1. Student debt from my professional degree. I have to pay it. Bankruptcy normally does not absolve student loans. 2. Health insurance. My family relies on my employer for healthcare. 3. Opportunity cost. In my profession, there’s not leaving the workforce until your kids are school-age and hopping back in.
