What are you talking about? If Stoddert tryouts are early that frees your DC up to go try out for Bethesda or McLean or whoever after that. You don’t have to turn in the contract for many weeks, right? Aren’t they doing you a favor? On the downside they are freeing up other kids to try out for the Stoddert teams...
Well they usually require you to accept(and commit to pay) within a few days of the offer. Given that its will be 3 to 4 weeks before the other clubs tryouts, you will have to decline or accept the offer before you tryout for another club. I do not think new kids from other travel programs will come. Stoddert just sent the tryout dates out in their newsletter today. Does not give much time to get the info out and many schools are on spring break this week.
Not when my DD played for Stoddert a few years ago - kids had forever to pay the bill. Also many of the parents were rich enough so that if their kid wanted to change clubs they just forfeited the deposit and moved on. I mean come on - contract? You are paying THEM. They can’t make your kid stay & play.
They maybe not be able to go to another CCL team or Stoddert could hold their card.
They can’t hold your card. No one does that - come on. Unless the season has started and your DD has played some games you have the commissioner or whatever she’s called get your card and reissue it for another team. Do we realize that this is a child’s activity that you are paying for??
LOL you do not understand how petty these clubs are.
That’s why there is a commissioner - your petty club rep has to do what is requested of her.
