Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton did this. They owned adjoining houses and lived separately. Of course, they also split up after 13 years, so maybe it's not the best solution. [/quote]

Didn't Salvador Dali and his wife do that too?  
I also sometimes dream of having my own apartment to go whenever I feel like it.  It would be full of snacks that I don't have to share, a bathtub that's all mine and I can sleep as long as I want and watch Netflix.  I would go home to DH and the kids when I feel like it. [/quote]
