- stop leaving so much space between you and the car in front of you, when stopped. Some of you are leaving an entire car length which is much too much - when turning, stop doing some kind of out and turn, question mark shaped maneuver. You're not an 18 wheeler. - learn to effing park! don't park more than a foot away from the curb, or on the line in a parking lot! - slower traffic keep right, people - don't F up the flow of traffic because you missed where you were supposed to go. Keep going, and turn around the long way like most normal people - stop with this U-turn in the middle of the street or at a 4-way stop insanity. - your hazards are not an excuse to block a lane and stop and wait whenever you want
I don't know why this happens so frequently now. it never used to. It is the worst, especially when it blocks off cutouts for turns etc.. Pull up and we can all fit in.
Oooh I asked this very question in a thread here ages ago because it drives me nuts as well. Answers involved a combination of not wanting to hit the car in front of them if rear-ended and wanting to leave a gap in case they need to maneuver around the car in front of them.
