I don't know why this happens so frequently now. it never used to. It is the worst, especially when it blocks off cutouts for turns etc.. Pull up and we can all fit in. [/quote]

Oooh I asked this very question in a thread here ages ago because it drives me nuts as well. Answers involved a combination of not wanting to hit the car in front of them if rear-ended and wanting to leave a gap in case they need to maneuver around the car in front of them. Read if you like here:
