OP here. Pediatrician will not work with us without a full scale write-up. Maybe it is time for DD to grow out of the pediatrician. (I know we sent a copy of everything to them...). It seem that all they want is my money.
Do you have an eval? My kids' pediatrician does not prescribe ADHD or even anxiety meds. Always been psychiatrist. Now, in Indiana my SIL has pediatrician who prescribed her then 7 year old ADHD meds, and he didn't even have a full eval. It went like this, he can't focus, his sister seems to have ADHD(also no eval) so here you go. SIL is fine with this, and I kept my mouth shut, but I was absolutely stunned to hear that her kids are getting ADHD meds without a full eval, without a psychiatrist and based on a visit to pediatrician. Most of ADHD meds are controlled substances, and even my kid's psychiatrist won't prescribe any refills.
He had a neuropsych exam last year. I told the Pediatrician I would give a copy, but they wanted to do there own evaluation. Um no.
