But the average bday party in NoVa does run about $500, and I've done a few that were up around 1K or even higher. For example, we had one at a lovely venue normally used for large weddings, and they had face-painters, balloon-twisters, entertainers, and so on. Others have gotten up there just by having a couple different entertainers (a single entertainer or artist charges 225-400 in this area), and then a pony ride or trackless train or something, so you only need a couple big things to hit the 1K mark. I'm only spending 300 on my own kids' party next week, and I feel like I've been frugal about it.[/quote]
