I do 12/12. Abstain 8pm-8am. My day starts at 5am so I do need to hold out for 3 hours before i have a piece of fruit. I am super healthy and never hungry so I never binge. I always eat dessert -- a small amount. I usually eat it before dinner, as soon as i get home. Denying yourself food will just make you binge. I'll bet you are thinking about food when you are in a 9am meeting. Eat protein 3 times a day and you will not be hungry. I am vegetarian and even I can do this. Will sometimes substitute an avocado for protein as it really fills me up.
12:12 is not a fast. So you’re opposed to fasting? I’m not sure what to make of your post.
NP. A 12:12 fast follows the rules for IF. My kids are young, we eat dinner around 5. So I'm more like 14:10. And I've lost a couple pounds merely by not eating anymore after dinner until breakfast.
Not sure what “rules” you refer to as they are all different. 12 hours isn’t enough to notice a benefit of lowered insulin or any benefit. I’m sorry but calling it “fasting” is ridiculous.
