I was 41 and 43 How many cycles did you do: 2 (to have 2 children) Fresh or Frozen: 2 fresh, 1 frozen (1 fresh BFN, 2nd fresh BFP, 1 FET BFP) What clinic did you use: SGFC Your own eggs or donor eggs: own How many retrieved: 17 first time, 19 2nd time How many fertilized: over 12 both times 3 day transfer or 5 day transfer: 5 day; transferred 2 embryos each time Outcome (Live birth, preg but M/C, didn't work, etc): 1st cycle BFN, 2nd cycle BFP - singleton live birth, 3rd was FET (also 2 embryos) BFP - singleton live birth Best wishes for you.
Did you do PGS? These are terrific results.
No PGS. This was 2011 and 2013 and cost for PGS was still prohibitive although it was available. We transferred two embryos each time because RE said odds of twins would be very low at my age. RE had told me he thought I would have a 35% chance of pregnancy with each transfer based on my response. The SART results I believe are 16% for a live birth per transfer at age 40-42.
