Aren't you and your DH trained by now to never say "which friend" when your sister casually mentions "a friend"? The "friend" will always be the one you hate and don't want to talk about. Your sister knows where your goat is kept and likes to feed it. Only she knows why she does this, and perhaps you. Stop playing. Your response to all things "My friend..." has to be "how nice". It's a little 'single white female' that she is so focussed on this person, BTW.
Yeah, I don't understand how your DH keeps asking "which friend" every time your sister says My friend has mets tickets or look at this car... Who responds with "which friend?" and if your sister says "It's larla's car. She just got a huge bonus and decided to buy this car" why isn't your DH stopping her right there and then and saying "Hey Sis, OP doesn't want to hear about Larla." and then talk about something else. And you, OP, can do the same thing - you don't even need to wait for DH if you're in the room. She answers DH's question and if she starts to continue talking about Larla, you interrupt and say "I don't want to hear about Larla. How's your job going?" or whatever other subject you want to talk about.
