Pulling off the trend about "pop of color" shoes and to help us ladies stay more current: - "pop of color" shoes - colored skinny jeans - Leggings with dresses - Super clunky statement necklaces - Skinny jeans that are super tight and then bunchy around ankles - Scarves with everything, not just when out in cold weather Etc.?
I think pop of color shoes, statement necklaces, and leggings with dresses will always be style options. They only look dated if you try to do them in a trendy way. So no, don't wear the statement necklace you got from the Loft in 2007; but do wear any beautiful, unique piece you may have picked up at a flea market or on your travels. Same thing with shoes. Leggings with dresses are just a comfortable look that will be around for time immemorial. Agree with you about scarves in the heat, jewel-toned jeans, and especially skinny jeans that bunch (blech!!)
ONLY if the leggings with dresses are with boots. There is not a single look I find more frumpy, goofy or absurd than leggings, a work dress, an awkward 1-2 inches of pale winter skin and dumpy flats.or worse, heels.
