I never got the point of juggling, other than it looks cool. Like trick shots. I don’t think it transfers into good play. Maybe an indicator of a player’s passion and commitment. Using other sports as an example, would bouncing a golf ball on a putter indicate a good golfer? Shooting half court shots or dribbling through the legs in basketball. I’ve never seen a coach ask a player to juggle at a tryout.
 One last time. Juggling demonstrates comfort on the ball. Juggling demonstrates touch and control of the ball. You understand that you can use more than the top of ones foot and their knees right? Have you never seen a player trap a high bad pass? Have you never seen a kid trap a punt or lobbed pass? Have you never seen a kid volley a corner kick in for a goal? Have you never seen a kid one touch volley pass perfectly to a teammate? Have you never seen a player receive a bad pass and nonchalantly collect it as if it was perfectly weighted? Have you never seen kids gather in a circle and volley pass the ball around as part of a fun pre-practice warm-up? A kid who can juggle can do all of those things and make them look easy and they can probably juggle really well too.
