I hate it here so much. I keep begging my husband to move, but we're kinda temporarily trapped due to his job and the housing marketing being a little slow here. Next year...we have to get out of here.

Different experience.  Kuwabara was very harsh with our kid with special needs.   Very strident opinions about world politics, too.[/quote]

My NT son used to be terrible at the dentist -- panicking, kicking, screaming, etc. When he was 3 (his first dental visit) I had to physically restrain him to get even the most cursory dental exam done. For the second visit (at age 4) we went to Dr. Kuwabara, who was nice enough, but the visit didn't go much better. So I don't believe Dr. Kuwabara has a universal magic touch. FWIW, we now go to the Mary's Center at Fort Totten and both my NT kid (now 5) and younger ASD kid have had fairly decent, non traumatic visits there. https://www.maryscenter.org/content/100-gallatin-street-ne-washington-dc-20011

No, he doesn't, he's just willing to work with the kids unlike other dentists.  We have good experiences with him (except the staff rarely answer the phone).  I'd have to hold my son for the first few years and he'd do a very quick cleaning and check till one day my kid decided to cooperate and no issues since.[/quote]
