Dems are the main ones that prevent eVerify which is the easiest way to prevent illegal immigration.

Lamar Smith, a Texas Republican who has introduced mandatory E-Verify legislation in multiple Congresses. “By expanding the E-Verify system to all U.S. employers, this bill will ensure that jobs only go to legal workers.”

“Without top to bottom reform of our immigration laws, expanding E-Verify would devastate the agricultural industry, result in closed farms, a less secure America and the mass offshoring of millions and millions of U.S. jobs,” said Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), one of the negotiators in a broad immigration bill that appears to have stalled.

Republicans, who pushed a similar bill last session, consider E-Verify a vital tool to combat identity theft and reconstruct the nation’s immigration laws. Only 7 percent of employers currently use the system. The bill “balances the need of the American people regarding immigration enforcement with the needs of the business community regarding a fair and workable electronic employment verification system,” Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) said.

Claire McCaskill Sponsored the E-Verify System Act of 2018.  You voted her out of office, but it's not too late, call your Senator and tell them to get the bill moving.

While we are at it, if illegal immigrants are really such a big deal to Trump, why is it he never mentions that he supports mandatory e-Verify or taken notice of McCaskill's bill?  We already have the system, so it costs nothing to implement and can be done much faster than any wall.[/quote]
