I have a 4 and love it. I didn't get the cellular -- even when I exercise I have my phone on me in an armband, so I really don't need it. It's fabulous and I love it! I have medium-sized wrists and the 40 mm is proportional. Pro tip though -- you can get really nice after-market bands that don't break the bank. The prices Apple charges for the bands are ridiculous.
What after-market bands do you suggest? I have been looking for a feminine leather one, but all of the after-market ones I have found are so bulky. The apple modern buckle bands are nice and slim, but the price tag is hefty. I'd love to hear your suggestions!
Can bands be switched out easily? I swap my fitbit bands almost daily to dress up or dress down and match outfits.
I have an Apple Watch 2, so I've had it for a few years now. I am not a runner, so the cellular plan holds no appeal. The things I love: I can charge it every night and not have to worry about changing a battery. On my other (regular) watches, I felt like I needed a battery changed every year or so. I get my calendar notices and texts right on my wrist, which is more discreet than looking at my phone. I like the fitness - I try to get a certain number of steps each day, so it's a great incentive. I am not a hard core exerciser. I switch bands to match my outfits. When driving, I have the steps sent to my watch so I get haptics in advance of each turn. I can check the weather easily. Cons: If I forget to charge it at night, it may not last the entire next day. When I travel I need to bring another charger. The face will likely get scratched, or you have to have some sort of face protection. I've tried lots and haven't loved any. Most apps not made by Apple and integrated into the Watch are clunky/useless. I have a variety of bands - I have some version of these: https://www.amazon.com/WFEAGL-Compatible-iWatch-Grain-Leather/dp/B0745HCVXX/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1541775820&sr=8-9&keywords=apple+watch+band+38mm https://www.amazon.com/Tirnga-Compatible-Apple-iWatch-Milanese/dp/B07DNSNPRS/ref=sr_1_11_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1541775820&sr=8-11-spons&keywords=apple+watch+band+38mm&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/SIRUIBO-Compatible-Silicone-Replacement-Wristband/dp/B078H4STJK/ref=sr_1_29?ie=UTF8&qid=1541775933&sr=8-29&keywords=apple+watch+band+38mm https://www.amazon.com/WISLECT-Stainless-Compatible-Straps-Adjustable/dp/B07G47Z5MF/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1541775994&sr=8-19&keywords=two+tone+apple+watch+band+38mm
