It's a different group. Rick is going to end up with that group, and they are going to create a spinoff show with Rick. Previous episodes have shown a helicopter, and as they say in the literary world, it was a foreshadowing because Rick saw one in one of the episodes.

There isn’t going to be a new show about Rick, they’re planning a series of AMC movies. Andrew Lincoln’s primary reason for leaving was that he was tired of living across an ocean from his family for six months of the year during filming.[/quote]
