I don't know which activists Silverman has or hasn't worked with, but Sandra Seegars who has held all kinds of positions in Ward 8 is supporting her. Much of Silverman's agenda directly benefits those east of the river. For instance, see this article about her vacant properties bill:

Note that Trayon White co-sponsored the bill. The reason that White is remaining neutral in the At-Large race despite a long and close relationship with Reeder is because he has such a good working-relationship with Silverman.
