Just so people know -- even if people turn down spots -- that doesn't mean the school will go to the waitlists. It means the school has a formula based on based years as to what percent of kids they accept will actually accept the acceptance offer. I know our year, for example, Sidwell didn't take anyone off the waitlist for gr. 7. It is really stressful for everyone waiting for news.
16:25 -- so all accepted applicants to 7th grade said yes during your year? Are you happy with your decision. Did you consider other schools. Boy or girl?
It doesn's mean every single kid said yes, it means that Sidwell (and all the other schools) accept more kids than they have room with, knowing that some kids will opt for different schools. Most years they might pull one or two off the waitlist, some years they get it exactly right, and occasionally they take too many and end up with an overenrolled class.
