The DCC is different than other areas in this respect with many kids trying to get into magnets, choosing to go private, or switching schools within the consortium. Northwood isn't that attractive to people outside Northwood so if you end up being rezoned for a school with a magnet or special program chances are your kids' smart friends would be there anyway.
