How come we never hear about sports stars like Serena Williams "sleeping her way to the top", we never hear anyone say "You know how that heart surgeon became the head of the unit, right? Yep, slept her way to the top."...you never hear this about lady astronauts, engineers, teachers.... Why is this such a prevalent thing in Hollywood?
Athletic talent and cardiac-surgery can't be faked, mimicked, or given. For Hollywood - its A) Beauty first, then B) Talent. Preferably a 75/25 mix. RE Sport stars - WINNING is very different from profiting though. Serena's amazingly wealthy, but Maria Sharapova who couldn't win a game against her, is actually worth more. One guess why she got all of the endorsement deals while not winning anything - beauty and yes, I'm sure she had some interactions with some agents/managers who got her some excellent deals.
