Our local mechanic is a good technician AND a good guy who does not try to "up-sell" us services we do not really need. The dealership has been dreadful and pushes lots of additional stuff. Last time I got an oil change at the dealer (not my idea, DH wanted to try them), 30 minutes after I left, the large metal "pan" beneath the car fell and dragged and scraped. They had replaced ONE of the four attachments meant to hold it on. I got someone to detach it and I want straight back to the dealership, where they had the nerve to shrug it off as if it were not the direct result of their incompetence and failure to do a simple oil change properly. That attitude was the last straw. They reattached it but with no apology or concern.[/quote]
