BASIS, Latin, Cap City, Inspired Teaching, Hardy, Stuart Hobson, School Without Walls, Jefferson, Two Rivers, DCI (which could take up 3 lottery slots). That's 12 right there.
Jefferson is now a back up for "higher SES" OOB families? Really? Has anyone told the Brent folks about this?
A bunch of them already seem to know about Jefferson: https://twitter.com/DCIvan/status/1031522038626832385
Wow. So is the end of people complaining about the Hill MS situation?
There is no end to the complaining of at least some Capitol Hill residents on any topic. But hopefully all the kids at Jefferson (from Brent and elsewhere) have a great year! It's my IB middle school and I was impressed with their last two principals (both of whom still work for DCPS--one as a teacher at JA and one as an instructional superintendent for middle schools) and the teachers I've interacted with. Haven't met the new principal, but am hoping they'll do a community open house when the renovations are done!
