But at the end of the day, I think most of us want our kids to grow up to be happy, healthy, independent adults... living their best life.  And I am confident that there are plenty of different ways to get that outcome.. including sending them to schools that are not highly rated.[/quote]

Gee why not just send your kids to a school where most of the families are in the same socioeconomic range as yours?[/quote]
