I'm not sure about "subjective" but I do think it measures different things than MAP and other tests so it's a helpful measure. DC1 is an excellent student and very creative, very high Cogat, does just okay on the PARCC. I think it's because there are written components where they are expecting a certain formulaic answer. DC2 is an average student , also with a very high Coat, who is good at regurgitating answers. Scores extremely high on the PARCC. Both kids are bright but bright in different ways. [/quote]
