I am so much better off having split from my XH than resigning myself to a boring life with the wrong guy who was “good on paper” but we were roommates at home and not much more. I feel like I truly got to know myself having taken a year or so to live alone and not date during the separation and finalization of things. I know myself. I know what I want and what I won’t put up with. Thank God I didn’t have kids just because it would have been the next logical step and easier than starting over with someone new. [/quote]
