We live in another CC neighborhood. Years ago, I was driving my then high-school kid and friend in carpool. As we turned into Kenwood, with its marvelously manicured lawns, a voice piped up from the back seat "Kenwood . . . the poor man's Potomac." The quick-witted response, "Somerset, . . . the poor man's Kenwood."
I live in Brookdale, so I have no skin in the prestige game, but I have always thought Kenwood is a really random neighborhood. Sure, the houses are big, but it’s not near anything, has no sidewalks, doesn’t have a community pool to tie it together, is split between different elementary schools, etc. It wouldn’t be my choice even if I had $3M to spend on a big house with a big yard.
