Please.  Tell us who exactly is walking into closing a real estate purchase with a suitcase full of cash, rather than a bank check?  Once upon a time, I practiced real estate law, and I have literally never seen someone whip out hundred or thousands or millions in cash.

DP, but that’s not the issue on this tape.  Trump says “cash?”  And Cohen responds, “no, no, no, check.”  Trump is talking about currency.  In the real estate sense, “cash” means without financing - totally different.  Two different uses of the word. [/quote]

Cohen brought up “financing” first. Trump then asked “what financing”? Cohen responded “we have to pay for these”. Then the “cash” thing came up. It is clear that the “cash” meant no financing.[/quote]
