This might be totally shocking to you , but some of us didn’t set out to accumulate material possession in our lives or better yet some of us don’t view material wealth as the most important thing in our lives . Hence , we chose careers that allowed us the opportunity to do work that’s meaningful and have direct positive effect on our fellow  humans lives . Thomas Edison wasn’t wealthy but you benefit from his invention don’t you ?  To say nothing of the countless benefits and advances in modern life  you’ve enjoyed thanks to people who made modest salaries but whose work was nothing short of consequential .

+1!  Why do people think that having fond of money is literally the only thing that matters, as that pp seems to imply?  Is someone who can “ring up” Chuck Schumer really so much better at life than anyone else?  I doubt it.[/quote]
