Okay first of all...

Second of all, 99.9999% of people online don't use their real names or divulge any personal information (i.e. not having an identifiable public social media presence).
If you follow that popular/conventional protocol in creating a profile you should be fine.  The only thing that would alert anyone that it's you is pictures and you can simply indicate that you don't wish to post a picture but will be willing to share one upon getting to know someone.  Having your friends do the communicating for you is just... :shock:
